Nutrition
Food is very important to us as humans. We depend on it for our very existence. It becomes part of us. Remember the phrase, you are what you eat? Scientific evidence is demonstrating more and more that what we eat affects us in ways barely guessed at just a few years ago.
But how should we eat? Each day we get conflicting news reports from the media on the benefits or detriments of some nutrient or food. These reports can be confusing and misleading.
So what do we do? Take the Nutrition Test below and see where you stand.
Answer Yes or No to the following:
- I consider vegetable oil a health food.
- I use milk as the best source of calcium for my bones.
- I use margarine instead of butter.
- I believe potatoes are fattening.
- I use fish, chicken and pork as healthy substitutes for red meat.
- I believe there is no harm in consuming all the protein I want.
- I drink one or more of these items at least three times a day:
